Looking for an Art and Design Foundation Diploma course in Bristol?
This one-year, full-time (or two-year, part-time) course is for people aged 18+. It can help you progress onto a university-level course.
You’ll build a portfolio of art and design work including your final major project.
Maria is an artist, curator, and translator who has exhibited in numerous cities including Los Angeles, London, and Vienna. She has an MA in Art (Sculpture) from the Slade School of Fine Art, a further MA in Philosophy and Critical Theory from Kingston and is currently doing a Phd in Philosophy and Art from EGS Switzerland.
James is a Concept Artist at Criterion - Electronic Arts, he has most recently worked on Star Wars Battlefront 2, Need for Speed and is currently working on the next title in the Battlefield Franchise. James was also featured earlier this year in ImagineFX magazine for his concept art workflow in Blender.
The main aim of this course is to enable you to progress to higher education. Toby has a following of 50,000+ on Instagram and uses the platform to extend the reach of his work and connections made with his clients.
Former St Brendan's student Manoel is an upcoming singer and songwriter, Artist, Entrepreneur and Designer . He is devoted to Filmmaking, Music, Graphic Design, and Photography to express his thoughts, joys, frustrations, and faith, as he connects with the outside world. These creative outlets help to positively channel his emotions and offer fresh perspectives to the world around him. Some of his successful projects include his T-Shirt design used for the 2018 National Citizen Service (NCS) and worn by over 100,000 young people nationally. He has released music from different genres as an independent artist and created a growing media brand ‘The Everything Post’ alongside his freelance company Blouhaus.
Davinia is a former St Brendan's student who completed A levels in Fashion, Media, Sociology and French. She completed her degree in Product Design for the fashion industry at the London College of Fashion and is a UAL professional mentor. She currently work as a garment technologist for Burberry specializing in Newborn Jersey, Nursey Products, Girls Woven and Denim.
Creative leader Ian Haworth began his career as a 'tea boy' and has gone on to win over 250 creative awards and accolades throughout his career, as well as being honoured as one of 5 Omnicom “Creative Masters” in 2015, and delivering keynote addresses at events worldwide. He has also sat on the jury of all the major Global awards.
Junal studied a BA in architecture Northumbria University. Architecture is a 7-year process to qualify as an architect The process is split into 3 parts, Part 1 compromising of your undergraduate + 1 year in work, part 2 is your 2 year masters + 1 year placement ( 3 years in total ) and part 3 is a mix of full-time work and part time education to qualify. He completed my part 1 work in Newcastle at a company called GT3 Architects, who specialise in sports, leisure and workplace in a community and people focused design.
He is currently coming to the end of part 2 at the Welsh school of architecture ( Cardiff university ), which encompasses the 5th and 6th year. During part 2 studies, he chose an integrated placement course where he worked at Willmore Iles architects in Bristol, specializing in student residential and holiday home architecture. After he completes his masters in June, he intends to move to London to work and strive for Part 3 studies and qualify as an architect before 2023.
