They will also be sharing opportunities that are happening at KWMC for young people that you are able to get involved in!
At Airbus advanced visualisation is used in many areas. This will focus on the provision of Virtual Reality and other visualisation techniques to Airbus engineers during conceptual design, production and during an aircraft's life. The session will show it is a modern solution to a classic engineering problem and the technologies used and why Airbus develops its own VR software. It will also briefly explain the challenges of IT lifecycles in a commercial aircraft environment.
There is a lot more to warehousing than picking, packing, shipping and receiving deliveries; there is a raft of cutting edge digital technologies to control, automate, analyse, and support business operations and a range of technical professional IT roles to deliver such technologies. Thomas will discuss his role as ERP Business Analyst, a few of the technologies he works with, and some of the exciting projects he is looking forward to in the future.
What you can expect from our talk is an insight into the many different apprenticeship opportunities that BT/EE present for people wanting to gain an apprenticeship. You will also hear about more specific roles and what BT looks for in aspiring apprentices, you will also have a chance to learn about what tech companies look for in apprentices.
You will also have a chance to meet employers on Friday who will bring in some VR headsets that give a 360 tour of the new BT workspaces that students who are interested can put on and get even more of an insight into what working for BT is like.
