College is a more grown up environment than school. You are treated as an adult and you get more freedom. However, there is still lots of help and support available to you.
Click the link below to find out more about how your Academic Mentor will be there for you throughout your time at St Brendan's, how the Careers Team will help you plan your future and all of the services available from the Learning Development Team.
There are lots of clubs and societies that you can join at college - below is a link to a page that will give you information about these. If you haven't already done so at New Student Day, sign up to any you are interested in so that we can contact you at the start of term with details about how to join.
Our central location means that there are lots of ways to get to us.
Many students use public transport, others walk, cycle or book a place on one of the college coaches.
College Transport applications will open online in week beginning 16th August, we will contact you by email with further information. Details of routes and costs are on our website.
The 16 to 19 Bursary Fund is a government funded scheme to help support young people who face the greatest financial barriers to education. Each bursary award gives consideration to individual student needs.
Bursary funding may be awarded for travel to college, compulsory course costs (such as trips or kit) and Free College Meals.
Applications are open to all students. If your parents/carers earn a combined income of less than £27,000 a year or are out of work you could qualify.
Bursary applications will open to new students in mid-late August, we will contact you by email with further information after 16th August.

We will send you your enrolment appointment date and time in the summer - the appointment will be between the 23rd and 27th of August. This is where we will finalise your course choices and explain how the start of term will work for you. It is really important that attend your enrolment appointment no matter what your results are - if things haven't quite gone to plan and you haven't got the grades for your first choice courses, we will be able to look at alternative programmes for you.
In preparation for your Enrolment appointment we need you to complete the online questionnaire about yourself if you have not already done so - it will take about 5 minutes. You will also need to upload a passport-style photo of yourself for your ID badge and a form of ID (e.g. passport, birth certificate, national insurance letter), so please have these ready.
N.B. You need to access this form via your St Brendan's email account - an email was sent to your St Brendan's email account on May 17th which includes the link that you need to follow.
If you can't find this email, copy the form link below and email it to your St Brendan's email address, so that you can access it from there:
